What is the legality of CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC in Europe and in France?
The Legality of Cannabinoids in France and Europe
CBD (Cannabidiol)
Legality in France:
CBD is legal in France as long as it does not contain more than 0.3% THC, in accordance with recent European regulations. CBD-based products (oils, creams, e-liquids, etc.) must be derived from industrial hemp approved by the European Union.
Legality in Europe:
CBD is broadly legal in most European countries, with similar regulations regarding THC. Maximum THC levels vary slightly, but they generally fall between 0.2% and 0.3%.
CBN (Cannabinol)
Legality in France:
CBN is legal in France, as long as it respects the same THC limits as CBD (0.3% or less). Products containing CBN must also be derived from authorised industrial hemp.
Legality in Europe:
CBN is legal in many European countries under regulations similar to those for CBD, as long as the THC content remains below the authorised limit.
CBG (Cannabigerol)
Legality in France:
CBG is legal in France, as long as it is derived from industrial hemp and contains no more than 0.3% THC. CBG-based products follow the same regulations as those for CBD.
Legality in Europe:
CBG is also broadly legal in the EU, with regulations similar to those for CBD. THC content must remain below the authorised limit (0.2% to 0.3% depending on the country).
CBC (Cannabichromene)
Legality in France:
CBC, like CBD, CBG and CBN, is legal in France if it is derived from industrial hemp and respects the same THC limits. It is less common, but is subject to the same regulations as CBD.
Legality in Europe:
CBC is generally legal in the EU under the same conditions as CBD and CBG. The THC limit must be respected to ensure product legality.
