If I get tested after taking a synthetic drug, will the result be positive? What are the risks?

Synthetic molecules themselves are generally not targeted by control tests, but their consumption carries a major risk of testing positive for THC. Indeed, these products are very often associated with traces of THC (even < 0.3%), which are immediately detected. A positive screening is a criminal offense punishable by up to 3 years in prison and a €9,000 fine (5 years and €15,000 if combined with alcohol), as well as the loss of 6 to 9 points, vehicle impoundment, or even confiscation.

In the event of a positive test with a legal product, systematically request a counter-analysis via blood test. You have a critical 5-day evolution period after the notification of results to challenge the saliva analysis, which is often less reliable. For your defense, it is imperative to keep the packaging and the product's certificates of analysis. This regulation requires total vigilance, as the law penalizes the use of narcotics regardless of the origin of the detected substance.
