The Caramelo is the most indulgent resin in the Bad Brothers range from CBD First. Where most resins head for dry, vegetal profiles, this one owns a soft, lightly sweet roundness, completed by earthy and spiced shades keeping it clear of confectionery. Its texture is soft and malleable, which reflects well worked, easily handled material. The smell develops gradually towards resinous, woody and lightly caramelised tones.

Made from flowers grown indoor in Italy, CBD content below 35 %, THC compliant with the legal threshold of 0.3 %, laboratory analyses available. Small and large formats, with a quantity to price ratio built for regular orders. This is the resin we recommend to anyone who finds traditional profiles too austere. Travers Shop is an official CBD First reseller.

Description

Caramelo Bad Brothers: a resin going the other way

The world of resin is traditionally austere. Profiles there are earthy, dry, vegetal, sometimes frankly rough, and that roughness has always been part of their identity. The Caramelo takes another direction.

It bets on roundness. Its aromatic profile is soft and lightly sweet, with a warmth more readily associated with indulgent registers than with classic resins. This is not a resin for purists, and it is not trying to be.

It joins the Bad Brothers range from CBD First, which gathers the brand's classic references in more generous packaging.

Texture, the first criterion

On a resin, texture tells you almost everything. The Caramelo offers soft, malleable material that works easily between the fingers without crumbling or sticking excessively.

That suppleness signals rich, properly stored material. A resin that is too dry crumbles and loses its aroma; one that is too greasy becomes hard to portion. The Caramelo sits in a comfortable middle ground.

The look is generous and well worked, with the visual density that separates careful resins from characterless blocks.

The aromatic profile

On opening, the base is earthy and resinous, clearly present. That foundation is common to every resin in the range, and here it is well built.

What follows is more unusual. Round, indulgent shades take over, with the lightly caramelised sweetness that gave the product its name. Woody touches then complete the whole and give it depth.

The result is warm and persistent, with a character far more approachable than traditional resins. It is probably the most accessible of the four resins in the collection.

Origin and production

The Caramelo is produced from flowers grown indoor, in Italy, under the same conditions as the flowers sold separately in the Bad Brothers range.

The quality of a resin depends directly on the starting material. A properly grown flower gives an aromatic resin; a rushed one gives a flat product, whatever care follows.

Content and analyses

CBD content is below 35 %, matching the positioning of the resins in the range. THC complies with the legal threshold of 0.3 %.

Resins naturally show higher figures than flowers, which comes from how they are made: they concentrate the material. Laboratory analyses are available for each reference.

Formats and packaging

Bag packaging, available in small and large formats. The Bad Brothers formats offer a better quantity to price ratio than traditional packaging, and the gap becomes significant on larger sizes.

For a first order, the smallest format lets you judge texture and profile without particular commitment.

Its place among the resins in the range

The collection holds four resins with clearly distinct identities. The Charras is the greasiest and most intense, with a far more traditional profile. The Marocco sits between the two, soft to slightly crumbly, in a warm and classic register.

The Pollen is the exact opposite of the Caramelo: crumbly, pale, raw, with a dry and authentic profile. If the Caramelo feels too soft to you, that is where to go.

All the resins sit in the Wax and resins category, and the brand's full catalogue on the CBD First page.

Storage

Airtight container, away from light and heat. A soft resin exposed to heat turns sticky and hard to work; left in the open air it dries and hardens. A small closed jar solves both problems.

Frequently asked

Is it really sweet?

The profile is round and lightly caramelised, but it remains a resin: the earthy, resinous base is very much present. The sweetness is added on top, it does not replace the character of the product.

Why do resins show higher figures than flowers?

Because they concentrate the material taken from the flower. That is the very principle of a resin. The stated figures remain thresholds, and the analyses detail the content of each batch.

Does it suit someone who has never tried resin?

It is the one we recommend first in that case. Its softer profile and supple texture are markedly more approachable than traditional resins, whose austerity can come as a surprise.

Can it be softened if it hardens?

A resin hardened through lack of humidity regains some suppleness under the warmth of your hand, long enough to work it. That is not a lasting repair: once cooled it returns to its previous consistency. Proper storage remains the only real answer.

Judging a resin by eye and by touch

On a resin, the essentials play out before the smell even comes into it. The first reflex is to look at how homogeneous the block is: even material, with no paler zones or visibly drier sections, indicates a controlled production.

The second reflex is tactile. A soft resin should give under finger pressure without breaking or leaving an excessive greasy deposit. The Caramelo sits precisely in that comfortable zone, which makes it pleasant to handle even after several weeks.

The third criterion is the smell at rest. A properly stored resin gives off its aroma without needing to be warmed or worked at length. If the bag smells of nothing on opening, that is rarely a good sign.

Formats and pricing

The Caramelo comes in small and large formats. The small one lets you judge texture and profile, the large one lets you settle in.

The large formats belong to Travers Shop: they do not appear in the CBD First catalogue and will not. We created them to apply a discount proportional to volume, which makes all the more sense on a resin, since it keeps very well.

On price, we apply the official distributor price, lower than the brand's own site. The reseller route is the cheaper of the two, and it is verifiable in two clicks.
