Why do I cough when I vape?
Your lungs are just realizing they aren't receiving hot tar anymore, and it’s a shock to the system. E-cigarette vapor is drier than tobacco smoke, which can cause initial irritation. If you’re coughing like you swallowed a cactus, your nicotine level might be too high for your current power settings.
Technically, Propylene Glycol (PG) is a mild irritant that provides the "throat hit" but can cause temporary coughing. If the problem persists, try a juice with a higher VG ratio or switch to nicotine salts, which are much smoother on the throat while remaining ultra-effective against cravings.
