What should I do if my router falls into water?
If your mod falls into water, turn it off immediately and remove the batteries to isolate them, as any battery that has been exposed to moisture must be replaced for safety reasons. Carefully wipe the exterior of the mod with a dry cloth and gently shake it to dislodge any drops trapped in the USB ports or buttons. Then, let your gear air dry in a cool, dry place for at least 48 hours without ever attempting to turn it back on prematurely.
Above all, do not use a hairdryer, as excessive heat can damage the electronics even more than the water itself. Once the drying period has passed, thoroughly inspect the battery compartment and only power it back up with brand-new, perfectly dry batteries. In short, patience and preventive battery replacement are your only allies in saving your mod from a fatal drowning. The safety of your batteries comes first, even before your vape session.
