What is preheat?
Preheat, or pre-heating, is a function that boosts your mod's power during the very first fraction of a second of your puff. It allows your coil to heat up almost instantly, providing dense vapor from the very start of the draw. It is the perfect option if you are using heavy-duty resistive wires, like Clapton or Alien, which tend to be a bit sluggish when you first hit the fire button.
Technically, preheat reduces the "diesel" effect (thermal inertia) of the metal. By sending a brief wattage spike, it reaches the ideal vaporization temperature faster before returning to your regular setting. For your safety, do not set a preheat that is too aggressive on small coils, as this could burn your cotton before you even begin to inhale. Properly adjusted, it gives your gear incomparable responsiveness.
