Why does my e-cigarette crackle?
It crackles because the liquid is "boiling" instead of vaporizing cleanly. If it sounds like a deep fryer, it’s usually a sign of condensation or that your cotton is oversaturated. Don’t panic, your mod isn't going to explode in your face (well, usually).
Crackling is caused by micro-explosions of air bubbles trapped in the liquid upon contact with the hot wire. If the power is too low, vaporization isn't instantaneous, creating this bubbling effect. Slightly increase the watts to stabilize evaporation.
