Tips & Guides

Why is my battery swelling?

If your battery is swelling, it is a sign of internal gas buildup caused by advanced chemical wear or significant overheating. This phenomenon usually occurs after excessively intense charging cycles, using an unsuitable charger, or following a physical shock that damaged the cells. A battery that changes shape has become unstable and must never be used or recharged again to avoid any risk of short-circuiting. Above all, do not attempt to puncture the casing to "let the air out," as this would be extremely dangerous.

The only solution is to place the battery in a non-flammable container and quickly take it to a battery collection bin. In short, a swollen battery is a battery demanding immediate retirement for your safety. Stay alert to the shape of your gear to keep your vaping experience worry-free.
