Why are nicotine e-liquids limited to 10ml?
The limitation of nicotine-containing e-liquid bottles to a maximum volume of 10 ml is a legal requirement imposed by the European Tobacco Products Directive (TPD). This rule strictly applies to all ready-to-use nicotine products sold on the French market.
This measure was introduced by health authorities to minimize risks in case of accidental ingestion, particularly by children, by limiting the total amount of the substance available in a single container. This is why your favorite juices come in small formats when they contain nicotine, or why you must use boosters for larger bottles. It is a bit of a hassle, but it is the price of safety in your cupboards.
