Can you wash a heating element?

Washing a coil is a "false good idea" because it will never restore its youth and may even ruin your experience. Once the internal cotton is saturated with caramelized residue or has suffered a dry hit, water won't be able to dislodge the particles embedded deep within the fibers. Even worse, if the drying process isn't perfect, you risk vaping stagnant water or causing unpleasant hot spit-back.

While some try hot water or vinegar baths, the result is usually a bland flavor and a remaining lifespan of only a few puffs. In short, a coil is a pure consumable: when it gets tired, you replace it to get back the true taste of your liquid. Nothing replaces the pleasure of fresh cotton and an immaculate wick.
