Tips & Guides

How do you choose your nicotine strength? How do you calculate your nicotine intake based on the number of cigarettes smoked?

Nicotine level is the heart of the matter. If it's too low, you'll be biting everyone’s head off at the office. If it's too high, it'll feel like you're vaping chili peppers. The goal is to find the comfort zone that calms your cravings without making you cough like an old diesel engine in winter.

Technically, we often calculate it like this: less than 5 cigarettes/day = 3 to 6 mg/ml; 5 to 15 cigarettes = 6 to 12 mg/ml; more than a pack = 12 to 18 mg/ml (or nicotine salts). For a quick calculation, multiply your cigarette count by 0.8 to estimate the absorbed nicotine dose you need to compensate with your e-liquid.
