How do you change a heating element?
When your vape tastes like burnt rubber or the vapor disappears, it's time for the sacrifice. Unscrew (or pull) out the old coil, toss it (at a recycling point!), and install the new one. This is the stage where you usually get liquid on your fingers—have a paper towel ready or embrace the mess.
The crucial technical step is priming: pour a few drops of liquid directly onto the new coil's cotton before installing it. Once the tank is full, wait 5 to 10 minutes before vaping. If you try to vape immediately, you'll burn the dry cotton and the coil will be dead before it even starts.
