Should you leave the battery charging overnight?
You can, but it’s like letting your ex text you at 3 AM: it usually ends badly. Even if modern boxes stop charging when full, leaving a battery under constant tension stresses its chemistry. If the electronics fail, your wake-up call might be much brighter than expected.
Leaving a device plugged in induces micro-charge cycles as soon as the voltage drops slightly. For safety, we recommend charging batteries on a non-flammable surface under supervision. At night, the risk of unmanaged thermal runaway is low, but real.
