CBD E-liquid
Picking the right CBD e-liquid first time
Vaping is one of the easiest ways to enjoy CBD, and oddly enough it’s where people make the most buying mistakes. Not because it’s complicated, but because labels show numbers that can’t be compared with one another, and nobody bothers to point out which ones matter. That’s what this section is for. You’ll find ready-to-vape CBD e-liquids, shortfill bases ready to be boosted, and boosters, all of them nicotine-free.
Give the next few paragraphs five minutes before you fill your basket. Your first bottle deserves better than ending up in a drawer next to the orphaned charging cables and the manual for a gadget you no longer own.
What goes into a CBD e-liquid
A CBD e-liquid is built on a base of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG), with CBD added and, most of the time, flavourings. No nicotine, no tobacco. Depending on the brand, the CBD comes from a full spectrum extract, which keeps the plant’s other compounds, or from an isolate, which contains nothing but purified CBD. That choice affects the taste, and we’ll come back to it.
Among the brands in this section you’ll find Greeneo e-liquids, made in France from full spectrum extract. Their formats are used for the worked examples on this page.
The number that matters: milligrams per millilitre
The label gives you a total: 300 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg. On its own that tells you very little until you set it against the size of the bottle. Dosage in mg/ml is what lets you compare two products, and ignoring it is the most common buying mistake there is.
Here’s how it plays out. A 10 ml bottle at 300 mg holds 30 mg/ml. A 30 ml bottle at 300 mg holds just 10 mg/ml: a third as much per puff, with the exact same figure on the label. A 10 ml at 1000 mg reaches 100 mg/ml. The sum fits on one line: total dosage divided by volume in millilitres. Do it every time. It takes ten seconds and stops you paying for liquid when you thought you were paying for CBD.
One more thing worth saying clearly: that figure documents a concentration, not an intensity of effect. It tells you how much CBD sits in each millilitre, not what you’ll feel. It’s for comparing and dosing, not for making promises.
Ready-to-vape, shortfill, booster: which format does what
Ready-to-vape liquids are dosed at the factory. Fill your tank and you’re done. It’s the easiest way in.
A shortfill is a flavoured base sold in a bottle deliberately left part-empty so there’s room to add a booster. It only reaches its final dosage once topped up.
A booster is a 10 ml CBD concentrate you pour into a base, and that’s where the maths shifts. A 10 ml, 500 mg booster added to 50 ml of base gives you 60 ml at roughly 8.3 mg/ml. With a 1000 mg booster you land at around 16.7 mg/ml. The big number printed on the booster spreads across the final volume, which is exactly how it should work. Nobody stole your CBD along the way.
Your PG/VG ratio decides your hardware
PG carries flavour and gives a little presence in the mouth; VG makes the vapour and thickens the liquid. A 50/50 ratio works in the vast majority of pods and small devices. A VG-heavy base, say 30/70, is thick and needs sub-ohm hardware, meaning a coil below 1 ohm.
Remember this before you order: a high-VG liquid in a small high-resistance pod doesn’t soak the cotton properly, and the coil burns. Burnt taste by the second puff, a coil fit for the bin, and you blaming a liquid that did nothing wrong. Every product page here lists the PG/VG ratio, so check it against your coil before you check out.
Full spectrum or isolate: it depends on the bottle
For a flavoured e-liquid, we prefer full spectrum. It keeps the plant’s other cannabinoids and terpenes and gives a fuller taste, closer to hemp. For a booster, it’s the other way round: isolate is the right choice precisely because it adds no taste at all. A booster is there to dose a liquid you picked for its flavour; if it changed that flavour, it would be failing at its one job. That isn’t a contradiction, just the same logic applied to two different uses.
No nicotine means no throat hit
The “throat hit”, that catch at the back of the throat, comes exclusively from nicotine. Nothing in this section contains any. If you’ve vaped nicotine before, you’ll notice from the first puff: the vapour goes down smoothly, with no grab. It isn’t a manufacturing fault or a weak liquid. It’s simply what happens when there’s no nicotine in the bottle.
What CBD does, and what it doesn’t
CBD is sought after for its relaxing effect; it is neither a medicine nor a treatment, this product cures nothing and claims to cure nothing. Turning it into vapour doesn’t change that one bit.
The e-liquids in this section contain less than 0.3 % THC and are legal to sell and to possess in France. They are for adults only, and not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for anyone under medical treatment.
Storing your e-liquids
Keep e-liquid away from light and heat, with the cap screwed on tight. UV breaks down both flavour and CBD, and so does heat: a glove box in August tops the list of worst hiding places, just ahead of a south-facing windowsill. Shake the bottle before use, especially after adding a booster, so the mix stays even. And keep it out of children’s reach. A brightly coloured bottle that smells of berries attracts small hands far more reliably than broccoli ever will.
Around the e-liquid
For the hardware, the CBD vape section brings together e-cigarettes, pods, refillable puffs and vaporisers. Small everyday bits live in accessories. If you fancy a change, have a look at our CBD flowers, resins and wax or pre-rolls. The full catalogue is waiting under CBD.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compare CBD e-liquids in different bottle sizes?
Divide the total dosage by the volume. A 10 ml at 300 mg is 30 mg/ml; a 30 ml at 300 mg is 10 mg/ml. That’s the only figure that gives an honest comparison, whatever the size of the bottle.
My CBD e-liquid has no throat hit. Is that normal?
Yes. The throat hit comes exclusively from nicotine, and none of the e-liquids in this section contain any. Smooth vapour is exactly what to expect, not a sign that something’s wrong.
Which CBD e-liquid suits a small pod?
A balanced PG/VG ratio, around 50/50. VG-heavy bases need a coil below 1 ohm and will burn in a small high-resistance pod. Check the ratio on the product page and the resistance on your device before ordering.
The essentials
This section gathers nicotine-free CBD e-liquids in three formats: ready-to-vape, shortfill and booster. The figure to watch is dosage in mg/ml: a 10 ml at 300 mg holds 30 mg/ml, a 30 ml at 300 mg only 10 mg/ml, and a 10 ml at 1000 mg reaches 100 mg/ml. A 10 ml, 500 mg booster in 50 ml of base gives 60 ml at about 8.3 mg/ml; at 1000 mg, about 16.7 mg/ml. That figure measures concentration, not intensity. A 50/50 ratio suits pods, while a VG-heavy base such as 30/70 needs sub-ohm hardware below 1 ohm. Full spectrum is the better choice for a flavoured liquid, isolate for a booster. No nicotine, so no throat hit. Less than 0.3 % THC, legal to sell and possess in France, for adults only.
